Since when have dolls been around?
Dolls have been around since the Stone Age. Archaeologists repeatedly find dolls made of bone and stone that prove this. Later, carved dolls, patch dolls, and bulk baby bottles porcelain dolls were added. Modern dolls have been around since the 15th century and industrial doll production since about the 19th century.
In the 1960s, toy manufacturer Zapf produced robust plastic dolls. Plastic was cheap and therefore everyone could afford a doll.
